Services We Provide...

Air Ambulancia Worldwide provides a wide variety of aero medical transport services from bedside to bedside critical care transport, elective or transplant aero medical transfers, commercial airline stretcher service, and worldwide medical escorts for flights on commercial airlines.

Critical care aircraft are outfitted as flying intensive care units. Most aircraft carry cardiac, blood pressure and oxygen saturation monitors, oxygen, a full complement of emergency cardiac drugs, defibrillators, intravenous fluid infusion pumps, and a multitude of other life support equipment and patient care supplies, as well as ventilators, balloon pumps and incubators.

Medical teams are chosen based on the specific needs of the patient. The personnel accompanying a patient may or may not be employees of Air Ambulancia Worldwide. Critical care patients are transported in an intensive care setting. In most cases, the critical care transport team is composed of a critical care nurse and a highly skilled paramedic. In selected cases, based on the patient's needs, a respiratory therapist and/or physician may also be added to the flight team.

medical team member, either a nurse or paramedic, may accompany the patient on elective transfers for non-critical patients who require only minimal monitoring. Though the patient may only require minimal care, all of the standard emergency equipment and drugs are always on the aircraft should the need arise.

Medical Escorts are available for patients that can travel on commercial airlines but need minimal medical assistance during the flight. In these cases, a nurse or paramedic travels with the patient to assist them on and off the aircraft, to and from the bathroom, and with any other minor medical or personal needs.

Quality Assurance

Air Ambulance Intercontinental Quality Assurance Program. At the completion of each flight, the transport team's flight notes are sent to the corporate office where the Medical Director and Medical Coordinator carefully review them. Any areas of concern are noted and discussed with the flight crew, as well as provided to the flight teams. In addition, an evaluation card is sent to the family after the flight, requesting them to evaluate our service and the care provided to the patient. This comprehensive Quality Assurance Program enables us to continually evaluate ourselves, and consequently maintain our highest level of service and care to our patients.

Flight Operations

All medical transports are centrally coordinated at our corporate office. Centralized flight coordination permits our Flight Coordinators to monitor every aspect of each transport to assure each step occurs smoothly and without difficulty. This also provides our Flight Coordinators the opportunity to receive up to the minute reports on weather conditions, aircraft flight times and other developments that may occur during the flight. This information is then rapidly communicated to the patient's family to keep them up to date on the transfer.

Air Ambulancia Worldwide has medical and aircraft contractors strategically positioned across the world. This enables us to respond quickly to your needs with the correct aircraft and medical team closest to your location.
